Dr.
Richard Lomas is a diplomat of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology. He received his medical degree from Case Western
Reserve Medical School in Ohio and he is an honored member of "Who's
Who in Health and Medical Services." He began his practice in Renton,
Washington, where he offers a full range of vision care services and
an optical boutique.
The Lomas Eye Care Center features a state-of-the-art,
Medicare approved Surgery Center.
In 1981 Dr. Lomas began performing refractive surgery, Radial
Keratotomy (RK), to improve his patient's distance vision. In 1996
an on-site excimer laser was added to the practice allowing him to
offer Lasik, laser vision correction, the most advanced technology.
Dr. Lomas has had the opportunity to travel worldwide as a
member of The Summit Technology Excimer Laser "Visionary" Program.
He is also actively involved in research and training physicians in
the latest advances in eye surgery as a primary surgeon for T.I.E.S.
(Team For International Eye Surgery) and a volunteer for the
National Eye Care Project. Dr. Lomas is a skilled surgeon who has
performed more than 6,000 refractive procedures and over 9,000
cataract surgeries since.
